187: A 19TH CENTURY MARBLE TOP PIER MIRROR BASE

The serpentine white marble top above a carved, gessoed and gilded rectangular frieze of repeated cabochons over a reticulated sinuous apron of stylized C-scrolls centering a rock work motif continuing down to cabriole legs with curling acanthus hips and ending in similarly carved scrolled acanthus toes.
Measures 12.5 x 13 x 36.5 inches.
Good condition, scattered minor losses of surface, chips, wear, very minor age separations, chipped toes.
