1505: A RARE LA SA TYPE GLAZE TILE, CHARLES SEBAUGH 1923

An American Encaustic blank glazed and decorated in a technique similar to that of the Weller 'La Sa' line developed by John Lessell who became art director for Weller in 1920. John Lessell became director of Camark Pottery in 1926. Charles Sebaugh was an employee of Camark pottery during the 1920s and 1930s and worked directly with the Lessell family of art directors at the plant. Signed Charles Sebaugh. Oct. 1923 lower left and A.C. Wagner lower right.
Measures 6 inches.
Good condition, there are no serious chips, cracks or repairs, light wear upper left.
