2139: A 'SEMPIRE' BENCH MADE JEWELER'S REGULATOR C. 2001
This clock is a fantasy piece "built up" by Max Thompson of Mountain Home, Arkansas around the year 2001, according to the attached paperwork.
The mahogany case with tall box crown topped by a narrow cove molding around the top, a small cornice of dentil molding bisecting the box top, the clock dial lettered SEMPIRE CLOCK CO. ST, LOUIS behind the mahogany door with circular opening, Roman numeral chapter ring, small seconds bit dial at the 12 position, twist-carved mahogany half-columns at the case corners, fluted stiles each side of the long door with glazed glass, mahogany pendulum stick with large nickel-plated bob, brass-wrapped weight, the base with drop panel, lower bracket with carved mahogany scrolls.
Measures 77.5 x 21.5 x 6 inches.
