101: AN EXCEPTIONAL 1 CARAT DIAMOND VICTORIAN BRACELET

A very fine antique gold mesh bracelet with blue enamel oval set with diamonds, the wide mesh band connecting a central oval medallion trimmed in concentric wrappings of braided gold wire rising to a blue enamel plaque centered by a European cut diamond over 1 carat in size surrounded by 12 smaller diamonds in gold buttercup settings. The unmarked medallion acid tests for 18k gold and the bracelet with hand engraved box clasp tests for 14k gold. Bracelet size 7 inches inside measurement, the oval top measures approximately 1 x 1.5 inches. Total weight 43 grams. This and 29 other designated lots in this catalog were among Joseph's retail shop inventory and must be offered subject to Missouri sales tax regulations.
Good condition noting one small colorless shallow flake in the blue enamel at one edge and tiny nicks to a number of the small diamonds.
