119: A LARGE PAIR ITALIAN 18K FIGURAL GLADIATOR BROOCHE

A pair of mid 20th century Italian solid 18k gold figures, the black combatant with three colors of enamel clothing and round single-cut diamonds set in his white gold accoutrements as well as the tines of his trident. The swordsman in white and yellow gold with blue and brown enamels, his shield set with rubies and his white gold leg and shoulder armour with round single-cut diamonds. The pair can be displayed as a sculpture or worn as brooches. Sizes 3 to 3.5 inches, weight of the figures 33 grams.
Very good noting a slight bend in the handle of the trident spear and wear to the black figure, minor bits of enamel loss to each.
