A large Japanese flared soft paste porcelain bowl with underglaze blue hand-painted decoration of irises encircling the outer sides, a heron, reeds, and a tree on the interior, 19th-early 20th century. Unmarked. Measures with stand 11 x 21.75 inches.
Good condition noting edge flaws and glaze losses, a crude repair top edge, the major damage, there are no cracks or other repairs.
