A cast silver-plate, pendant wound and set, keyless, pocket watch with biblical theme case by 'Holy Freres', Switzerland, movement and dial by 'Patek Philippe et Cie.', Geneva, Switzerland circa 1915, approximately 51mm diameter, the round silver-plated two leaf pocket watch case with a gilt fluted ball pendant and shaped silver bow at the 12 position. The back cover and the bezel are fully cast with a biblical scene, likely from the Garden of Eden showing an eagle representing God fighting with the serpent in the Garden, against a background of heavy foliage, on the cover is the name of the case maker, 'Holy Freres', as well as 'Depose' for the case design patent. the enameled dial with Breguet hours, closed minute ring, sunken subsidiary seconds at the 6 position, blued-steel Continental- type spade hands and lettered for the watchmaker, 'Patek Philippe & Cie.' The movement is signed 'Patek Philippe & Cie, Geneve’, serial number ‘184584' (circa 1915+/-).
Measures approximately 51 mm.
Very good condition with oxidation at the edges of the covers and adjacent to the movement. The dial is very good with mild losses to the black lining of several numerals. Winds and runs, the exact time keeping condition is not known.
