83: A 19TH C FRENCH ENAMEL ON COPPER AFTER MEISSONIER

Interior scene of a 17th century gentleman smoking at a table with food and drink, after the painting by French artist Ernest Meissonier (1815-1891), displayed in a Louis XV style ormolu frame with red velvet liner, circa 1880.
Copper plate measures 7.25 x 5.25, the frame is 12 x 9 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear, with the exception of the red velvet.
