Fred Zimbalist (1909-2003) founded the Zimbalist Music Box Company in Cleveland, Ohio just after World War II. Zimbalist is best known for their unique and varied hand engraved brass music box designs. This example features a rectangular design with high rib designs hand engraved with florals and vinery, mahogany interior fitted with a Thorens music box, ten discs total, raised on scrolled legs.
Measures 4.5 x 7.5 x 5.75 inches.
