42: A ROSE CABAT MODERNIST STUDIO POTTERY VASE

A finely formed onion-form vase, thin, thrown porcelain with a silky, satiny glaze. These works by Rose Cabat are most famous for the harmony between their form and texture, the glazes Cabat developed in the 1960s provide a sensual experience of touch such that these pots are most often referred to as Feelies, a term coined by the potter and used universally in lieu of the word pot or vase.
Measures 4.25 x 3.5 inches.
Tiny nicks to the uneven mouth, there are no other chips, cracks repairs, scratches or wear.
