113: TWO NAVAJO WEAVING CIRCA 1900

The weaving features a red background with diagonal bands of stepped diamond shapes. They diamond bands alternate white over black and orange over black. The central motif is an optical, triangular, slanted design in colors of white, red, black and grey, a black border surrounds the field and each end has an unusual ivory skirt.
Measures 51 x 74 inches and 25 x 48 inches.
Scattered wear, holes and repairs. The central motif has some wear at the ends and edges, missing weave and fraying, overall soiling from storage.
