252: AN UNUSUAL AND ELABORATE TANTALUS CIRCA 1890
The quarter-sawn oak cabinet mounted with brass, two doors with beveled glass over a split lift-top compartment with dividers and holding four original matching cut crystal shot glasses and three matching cut crystal decanters in the Daisy and Button pattern held inside the compartment with mirrored back, two turned wood die cups, several carved bone dice, hidden lower drawer with cribbage board and bone game pieces, compartments for playing card decks and other accoutrements. The case retains its original finish.
Measures 12.5 x 14.5 x 10.5 inches.
One bottle has considerable chipping around the polished base, another bottle has a minor base flake, the third is in very good condition, free from damage. Overall very good condition with minor wear at the corners of the base.
