210: A JOHN DEVIS 18C. PAIR CASED KEY WIND FUSEE WATCH

A pair cased watch, the outer case with undecorated outer surface and an early watchmaker's repair paper from Jones and Son, Colwyn Bay, the second case houses the ornate chain drive movement with hand cut and engraved grille, engraved plates with hand motif and scrolls, a rose cut faceted diamond end stone, watchmaker's name and location with serial number 5857, porcelain enamel dial with blue Arabic numerals.
Measures approximately 40mm outside diameter of the dial.
Very good running condition, winds and runs at time of inspection. The running condition is not guaranteed once removed from the gallery. A repair at the hinge of the inner case, one loose barrel at the hinge of the outer case, two shallow minor dings outer case, wear to the inner case, no damage, does wind and run, complete with key.
