104: A MAUSER ART NOUVEAU STERLING SILVER TRAY

A circa 1900, a sterling silver bowl with embossed Art Nouveau design, marked Sterling on the base and signed with a Mauser Manufacturing Co. unicorn maker's mark.
Measures 14 x 9.25 x 1.75 inches. Weighs 13.18 ozt.
One dent near the edge of one long side, the center is slightly domed and misshapen with considerable surface scratching and from an amateur attempt at removing a large three or four character monogram. The detail of the decoration is very good with only light to moderate wear if any. A considerable amount of peening/ hammer marks remain among the designs in high relief.
