184: A LATE 19TH C. RENAISSANCE REVIVAL JEWELRY CASKET

The domed rectangular hinged lid with central plaque with industrious cherubs and outset rounded corners over caryatid figures at each corner of the case with embossed designs of gryphons, foliate and urns, raised on four paw feet, constructed from a grey base metal without plating of any type.
Measures 7 x 13.5 x 9.25 inches.
Very good condition, no damage, repair or heavy wear, interesting hand engraved family crest with motto on the underside of lid along with the name Virginia.
