149: A VERY FINE LAMM DECORATED KPM CABINET PLATE

From a set commissioned by Mrs. C. E. Ilgenfritz of Sedalia Missouri in 1913. Each bears the blue scepter mark and lettering Germany under glaze, blue lamb mark for the decorator A. Lamm, Dresden, gold lettering states, 'Made Expressly for Mrs. C.E. Llgenfrith'. 1913, fine raised gold border decoration of urns and scrolls with beading, the finely executed central image is that of a reclining Venus with Cupid after the classical painting by Guido Reni. The Llgenfriths were a prominent family in Sedalia, Mrs Llgenfrith's daughter Dwan was a silent film actress.
Measures 10.5 inches in diameter.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of wear.
