383: A 19TH C. AMERICAN CARVED WALNUT DESK ARMCHAIR

The serpentine arched crest with incised and carved motifs of a stylized shell flanked by scrolls, over a black leather arched rectangular tufted and padded back finished with brass nailheads issuing flat, slightly out scrolling caroms with incised carvings and set-back curved supports over a conforming padded tight seat shaped apron below the seat rail and raised on front turned and block legs joined by double elaborately turned front stretchers, the single spindle side stretchers join rear square legs.
Measures 36 x 22 x 22.5 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage repair or heavy wear.
