An early 19th century jug with the portrait of Sir Francis Burdett and banner that reads 'The Independent Champion of British Freedom', old repair to the spout. Plus a small Staffordshire plate with portrait of R. Cobden, Esq., M.P., proponent of Free Trade campaigns in the early 20th century.
Pitcher measures 4.25 x 4.75 inches, 7 inch plate.
Pitcher has majorly repaired spout and flaking to the bottom of the handle, the plate with crazing and chipped rim.
