71: A RARE AMERICAN INDEX CAST IRON TYPEWRITER C. 1900

With painted tin identification plaque marked 'American Typewriter Co, 265 Broadway, New York, Patented inserted in the frame; and a second painted tin lettering scale with black letters on white ground, the frame and all else black enamels with the original gilt decoration, nickel plated iron pointer and controls.
Measures approx.6 inches wide by 9 inches long by 3 inches tall.
Very good intact original condition, minor oxidation and surface grime as shown.
