217: A TAMAYA AND COMPANY JAPANESE SEXTANT, 1937

A pre-WWII Tamaya & Co., Ginza, Tokyo sextant with case and accessories. Aluminum body with applied bronze arc, well marked. Case with spec tag applied to exterior, sheet inside lid, dated Oct. 13, 1937, numbered 14348 which is matched on the sextant itself.
Measures 9.5 x 9 inches, case measures 6 x 11 x 11.5 inches.
Generally good condition, does show some oxidation throughout. Appears to be missing one accessory.
