434: A SIGNED MEIJI PERIOD SATSUMA PALACE VASE

The typical satsuma body elaborately decorated in polychrome enamels and raised gold decoration, foo dog and ring handles, damage at the rim.
Vase measures 49 x 23 inches, 55 inches with the base.
Damage and repair at the rim as shown.
Provenance: Property of the Topeka Women's Club, gift of Mrs. R.M. Cole 1942.
