22: A LARGE AND EXCEPTIONAL CARVED SHELL CAMEO C. 1900

An Edwardian carved shell cameo depiction of Classical maidens among the clouds holding aloft an airborne cupid, mounted within a hand engraved gold bezel quartered by four plaques embellished in white enamels, no markings were found.
Cameo measures 3 x 2.5 inches. Accompanying framed work measures 24 x 20, frame is 27.25 x 23.25 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage repair or wear.
