The cut strips and patchwork pieces of brass braised and sculpted to create the form of a female nude with one leg bent and pulled in close, the original surface includes matte finish brass, verdigris and oxidation to create the artist's intended effect; signed with motorized engraver and numbered 2.75. Solomon Saprid was a Filipino artist well-known for his sculpture created in the Brutalist School style. The subject matter of this example ranks highly and the size is larger than the majority offered for sale to date.
Measures 28.5 long x 15 wide x 9.5 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair.
