18: A PAIR MEIJI PERIOD SATSUMA PRESENTATION VASES

(Circa 1880.)
The pair of traditional Satsuma pottery body, elaborate enamels and gold depicting multiple figures and the circular Satsuma kiln mark, the shoulder of each potted with dragon masks either side, a signature on the underside of each base.
Box measures 3.75 x 7.5 x 7.5 inches, vases measure 5.5 inches.
Stained crazing interior, chip on the lip of one, dragon nose is missing from one, some paint rub on both. box shows wear and has loose joints.
