The cartouche form carved and painted rococo frame in cream and gold displaying a Battle Scene painted in oils on canvas, perhaps a cartouche from a paneled room or a mirror surmount, a conjoined artist's monogram of AH painted on the canvas verso.
Measures 34 x 40.5 inches, 41 x 45 inches overall.
Good condition, noting flaking paint, an old amateur repair, has not been re-lined or restored, typical separations , bumps and minor losses to the frame commensurate with age.
