374: A BRILLIANT ZUNI SUNFACE BUCKLE WITH RAISED INLAYS

A unique oval belt buckle with intricate radiating inlays of turquoise, malachite, opal, coral, lapis, jet and shell stacked in rounded panels divided by thin sterling silver bars as sun rays and centered by a Kachina sun face, the design set on a heavy sterling silver belt buckle. Etched 'W.M.' stamped 'Sterling.'
Measures 3 inches. Belt size is 1.25 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, losses or heavy wear. One stone has the appearance of repair at one corner tip and may or may not have been repaired at the time of creation.
