172: TWO US MILITARY DRESS SWORDS BY LILLEY AND MEYER

The first sword signed M.O. Lilley, with formed wood grip, double etched with US and Eagle plus patriotic motifs, double-ringed fitted scabbard having applied 'S' plate near the throat; plus an N.S. Meyer dress sword, double-sided etching of patriotic motifs, marked ricasso, double-ringed fitted scabbard.
Meyer measures 36.25 inches, Lilley 37.5 inches from tips to pommels.
Good condition; loosened metalwork on one handle, both show wear, nicks to the blades and some flaking of the finish; scabbards with some oxidation and finish wear.
