133: AN UNUSUAL CONCHO BELT INLAID IN THE ZUNI STYLE

An unusual belt comprised of fourteen smaller 'conchos' and matching larger buckle joined by sterling silver jump rings, the galactic theme of each is a depiction of Saturn, the moon, stars and other heavenly bodies in night sky above a turquoise mountain range, each oval view set within an oval frame and scalloped edge inlaid in spiny oyster shell, unsigned by the artist, stamped Sterling.
Buckle measures 1.4 x 1.8 inches, total length is 41.5.
Very good condition, noting the loss of one spiny oyster shell red scallop. There are no other chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
