203: LOT OF EARLY RAILROAD LETTERS AND STATIONERY

May 5, 1883 dated handwritten letter from Aretas Blood, agent with the Manchester Locomotive Works to T.J. Potter of the C.B. & Q. Railway, stating that 'ten or twenty locomotives' will be delivered by Oct. 1st, priced at $8,750 each. Also a typed letter on Illinois Central Railroad Company letterhead, refusing cooperation with the Tennessee Midland Railway Co., dated Nov. 11, 1893. Lot also includes a blank piece of International Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers stationery. Plus an unrelated typed letter about a Hamilton Beach carpet cleaner demo, dated 1923.
Largest measures 11 x 8.5 inches.
Good condition overall, normal toning, scattered creases and general wear.
