An American School primitive oil on canvas portrait of a young boy in blue dress with a red, white and blue drum standing beside a New England grain painted yoke back chair, the grain painted decoration of the chair and room interior depicted in a unique comb-like manner by the artist, unsigned, no identification, found in Lawrence, Kansas.
Measures 36 x 26, frame is 41 x 30.75 inches.
Original untouched condition, as found, tears, losses, surface soiling and discoloration. punctures and craquelure.
