15: A CIRCA 1800 CONTINENTAL INLAID TALL CLOCK

The mahogany case with flame grain, inlaid satinwood bellflower and line inlays, the open pediment with pinwheels and small dentil, arched door flanked by four small columns each side, painted sheet iron dial with moon phase and hand painted revolving scene, stenciled spandrels with leaf decoration overlaid by raised beading in circular patterns, original dial paint with some touch-up, original Arabic numerals, seconds bit dial, calendar display through a cut-out in the dial; the lower case with front door topped by a Gothic arch, satinwood inlays, flame mahogany, raised on small bracket feet.
Measures 94 x 19 x 1.5 inches.
Good condition, noting the effects of age and use as evidenced by touch-up to the dial, replaced door lock, minor irregularities, touch-ups, repairs, flakes, losses and shrinkage of wood.
