13: AN ANTIQUE TURKISH BERGAMA RUNNER RUG

The Izmir, West Turkey wool on wool weaving with two terracotta lozenge medallions on blue field, each enclosing palmettes, and angular vines surrounded by continuous ivory flower heads and hooked leaves, terracotta hooked spandrels at each corner, border of ivory flower head roundels, framed by a flower head and diagonal stepped vine border.
Measures 89 x 32.5 inches.
Good condition, mostly even wear with only a few low areas, intact edges and ends with only a corner gouge to the nice original flat weave skirts at each end, no stiff spots, no major satin or odor.
