The two-stone lithograph after the painting by Frances Flora Bond Palmer (1812 - 1876), genre imagery of an American homestead of the period, published by Nathaniel Currier, New York.
Paper measures 22 x 28, frame is 29 x 34 inches.
Very good condition, noting a very minor mat burn surrounding the image, minor foxing lower left margin, light toning, there are no other issues of the type nearly always encountered with prints of this period, the sheet has not been laid down, there are no tears or repairs, good color, the full untrimmed sheet, sturdy without brittleness.
Provenance: The Van Dyke family, Marshall, Missouri civic leaders and entrepreneurs conducting business on the Marshall, Missouri square beginning around 1871. Their family collection of Art and Antiques spans more than four generations.
