120: A GOOD EARLY 20TH CENTURY NW PERSIAN HERIZ CARPET

A good Northwest Persian Heriz carpet, the brick red field with floating navy blue medallion surrounded by ivory lattice with multi-colored divisions and repeating pattern of angular leaves and flower heads, ivory corner spandrels with coral insets, two ivory borders with continuous flower heads, wide blue ground border with herati design.
Measures 133 x 92 inches.
Very good condition, intact original sides and edge wrap, one close end though both are basically intact, good pile noting one end feels a bit lower than the other and has a hand sized low area with very small patch of foundation showing, no stiff spots, no satin or odor.
Provenance: The Van Dyke family of Marshall, Missouri, proprietors of a four generation family business specializing in Real Estate, Abstract and Title work.
