Egg tempera on a Masonite panel, signed lower left and dated 1948, titled 'A Winter Scene' verso.
Robert MacDonald Graham studied at the Kansas City Art Institute under Thomas Hart Benton and was well represented in the exhibition 'Under The Influence: The Students of Thomas Hart Benton' by Marianne Berardi, at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art, 1993.
He was equally well represented in the show Benton arranged with the Associated American Artists in New York in 1940. This painting, an egg tempera on panel, is an important marker from this period.
Board measures 17 x 24 with a frame of 25 x 32 inches.
Very good original untouched condition. There are no issues of major scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
Provenance: Gift of the artist to the current owner, a family member.
