The tall box with letter opening in the hinged slant top, brass locks, plaques and hinges, striking reverse painted beveled glass insert in the front door reads POST in gilt letters trimmed in black on red, circa 1890.
Measures 13 x 10.5 x 7 inches.
Very good condition, free from damage, wear or repair.
