195: A GOOD CARVED AND PAINTED FOLK ART INDIAN MAIDEN C 1920

The interesting early 20th century carved and painted wood figure in highly decorated clothing painted in multiple patterns and colors, wielding a knife in one hand, the figure appears to have had a headdress, the wood looks to be cottonwood or poplar, the feet are fastened with nails, nice overall patina.
Measures 12 x 3 inches.
Very good original untouched condition. There are no issues of damage, repair, in-painting or touch-up.
Provenance: The 45-year collection of Michael and Donna Hayes, West Plains, Missouri.
