28: A SCARCE CAPITAL AIRLINES CONSTELLATION DESK TOP MODEL

The scarce and desirable model on aluminum stand, a prop-driven Constellation passenger plane model complete with red and white graphics and windows depicted in blue, Capitol Airlines was in business and mostly flying Connie's from 1948 to 1961, the stand mounted with red enamel badge advertising 'Capital Airlines CONSTELLATION' and mid 20th century company logo, scale model aircraft marked MANUFACTURED BY 'RAISE UP' ROTTERDAM HOLLAND on the underside.
Measures 9.5 x 14 x 18 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear at some edges and age toning overall, a small chip near the nose as shown.
