(Mid 19th century)
The red and white Jacquard coverlet with wide floral and foliate border, central roundel of oak leaves and acorns, the design of airborne angels with spilling cornucopia offering laurel wreaths, woven maker's block: Made by Philip Schum Lancaster, Pa, features angels at the corners of the center field, woven signature lower left.
Measures 82 x 74 inches.
Light fraying on the edges, several loose areas along the hemmed edges, faint fold lines visible on the back, one small hole near one edge.
