Nine pieces of studio art pottery includes: 1. A Dean Schwarz Carved Studio Pottery Stoneware Vase with carved decoration of stylized weeping trees on each side, scratched signature under the base. Dean Schwarz is an important late 20th century American 'ceramic artist, painter, writer, and teacher from Decorah, Iowa whose pots have found homes in over 30 museums, university, and prominent collections in six countries - including the White House Collection in Washington, D.C.', according to CartaStudioWorks.com, measures 18 x 6.5 inches; 2. A Peter Pinnell Studio Pottery Teapot in rich high gloss sang de boeuf glaze, signed on the underside, measures 4.25 x 11 x 6.5 inches; 3. A Studio Pottery Bowl Signed Smith Mosby, thrown by Joseph Smith, decorated by Nancy Mosby, Colorado, measures 4.25 x 11 inches; 4. Dean Schwarz Studio Pottery Stoneware Dish, cut and carved form with applied handle or swan neck, creating the stylized form of a bird, signed under the base, measures 3 x 5.5 x 6 inches; 5. Sam Calder Studio Pottery Creamer and Sugar, California art pottery studio ceramicist, signed underside of the base, measures 3.5 x 3 and 3.5 x 3.25 inches; 6. A Steven Hill Studio Pottery Jug with applied strap handle joining the flaring upper and lower halves, signed on the base. Steven Hill received his BFA from Kansas State University in 1973, he now throws pots and teaches at his studio located at 323 Clay Street in Independence, Missouri, measures 9 x 10 x is 6.5 inches; 7. An Unidentified Late 20th C Studio Pottery Bowl, wheel thrown stoneware bowl with interrupted pattern having a pulled and folded area with darker glaze firings, unknown stamped maker's mark, measures 6.5 x 11.75 inches; 8. A Contemporary Studio Ceramicist Bowl, footed bowl formed like layers of cloth wrapping, unidentified maker's monogram, measures 3.5 x 7 inches.
Measures as noted above.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
