426: AN UNUSUAL 19TH CENTURY WALKING STICK CARVED FROM BONE

The turned ivory handle mounted to a two-piece bone shaft of which half is reeded with lengthwise parallel fine lines joining a four-sided flat spot with abalone inlay (one lost) below which the shaft is of twisted fine-line pattern - this joins a smooth lower half with turned knop.
Measures 37.25 x 1.25 inches.
Very good original condition, noting the loss of an abalone inlay, there are no other issues of damage or repair, light wear at some edges.
