133: A DRESSEL RAILWAY LAMP WORKS STEAM LOCOMOTIVE HEADLIGHT

The good, early box-form headlight with hinged glass front door, convex reflector and kerosene fuel font, embossed tag applied to the font with lettering THE DRESSEL RAILWAY LAMP WORKS NEW YORK, and this same lettering on the wick winder, circa 1870s.
Measures 40 x 22.75 x 15 inches.
Very good original intact condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear at some edges and dents as seen in the images commensurate with age and use though less than expected.
