Paul Jenkins was born in Kansas City, Missouri and attended The Kansas City Art Institute from age 14 to 18. He served in WWII and in the early 1950s created poured and drip paintings while attending art school in Paris. He would live in both Paris and New York for the rest of his life and is most closely associated with the New York School of late 20th century Abstract Expressionism.
Sheet size 24 x 20, the frame measures 26 x 22 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, very clean, intact, no visible stain, damage, repair, punctures or tears. This work has not been examined outside the frame.
