The hand-formed plaster model with dark brown patina emulates a bronze sculpture, the head of a satyr in the style identical to the mythical figures depicted in Rose O'Neill's 'Sculpted Drawings' first exhibited in Paris in 1921. The exhibition catalog lists 'Satyr' as entry 3 under SCULPTURE.
A reprint of the catalog includes the word 'plaster' written by hand in ink next to the entry for Satyr.
Measures 5.5 x 5 x 5 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear at some edges.
