The limited edition book composed of observations and illustrations related to the author's five week stay at St. Joseph's State Mental Hospital No. 2 in 1971. Arthur Kraft struggled with alcoholism all of his adult life.
The signed and inscribed volume complete with signature peacock feather, business card for Kraft's dealer (Duncan McHeath Arthur Kraft and Gene Hoppe 3921 Wyandotte Street, Kansas City, Missouri), the original orange tissue and original two piece cloth-covered box.
Measures 12.25 x 5.75 inches.
The effects of dampness, minor odor, one tipped-in plate loose form the page, no damage, repair or stain found on or in the book. Mildew and other staining on the book cover, other minor issues there.
