The Victorian influence oval format, plaster frame and interior, the portrait of a young girl in red dress with flower filled basket before a Classical column and gold fringed drape, beside a French stool, standing on an French carpet, signed just under the stool and dated 1864. signed and dated once more verso with the declaration 'Warranted NO Photograph St. Louis Ill.
Measures 23 x 20 inches.
Very good original untouched condition. There are no issues of major scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
