94: HUGO MEISEL CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN CHINESE FIGURE

Circa 1930s, Hugo Meisel (1887-1966) reclining Chinese male figure, hand painted, artist's signature back side and numbered 2, Schwarzburger Werkstatten fur Porcellankunst impressed fox mark on the base.
Measures 1 x 15 x 7 inches.
There is an unevenness of finish on the proper right side of the figure's chest - the result of repair to cover the loss of a smoking pipe that the figure was originally modeled with, held in one hand, plus a hairline in the porcelain lower proper left leg.
