29: A LOUIS XVI STYLE BRONZE MOUNTED MARQUETRY CHEST

The breakfront rectangular highly figured blood orange marble top with chamfered corners, over conforming case flanked by chamfered stiles headed by neoclassical-style mounts, the frieze fitted with three drawers inlaid with alternating geometric Arabesque pattern, over two long drawers featuring tripartite banded and book matched facade, all above a shaped apron with neoclassical metal mounted motif of urn and swag, raised on four angled cabriole legs terminating in brass sabots. Fitted with beribboned berried laurel leaf wreath pulls, circa early 20th century.
Measures 35 x 49+.5 x 22.5 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear at some edges.
