38: SGT. WARREN F SCHWERT GUNNER, AIR MEDAL, WINGS, UNIFORM

Sergeant Warren F. Schwert, 447th Bomb Group (H), 8th USAAF, European Theatre. Uniform consisting of Ike jacket with all insignia, shirt, tie, pants, five place ribbon bars, Air Crew wings. Shadow Box with crew photo, gunner wings, 8th AF SSI, Good Conduct Medal, Report of Separation, Enlisted ID card, Registration Certificate, Miniature Discharge, Map and Guide of London, Booklet 'The 8th Sees England', 72 pages with annotations by him, plus signature. Warren Schwert entered active duty 19 February 1944, While trained as a top turret gunner on B-17s, he was assigned as a tail gunner in the 8th AAF effective 17 December 1944. He was qualified for the Gunner as well as the Air Crew wings. He participated in three campaigns. After having earned the Air Medal and Good Conduct Medals, among others, Warren was discharged on 2 February 1946.
