139: A MEIJI PERIOD JAPANESE SCROLL OF LADY DRESSING

Depicting an elegant lady dressing or looking after her clothes, and with an elaborate kimono draped over a clothes rack or 'Iko', signed and with red artist's seal, and mounted with brocade silk as a hanging scroll, circa 1890.
The mount measures 70 x 21, the image is 40 x 17 inches.
Good condition, noting age splits, light toning and the effects of handing, brittle mount weakened along the top.
